Everyday skin care routine for all skin types

Cleansing

Cleansing your face is very important. It allows products to absorb into the skin. The cleanser helps the skin to breathe efficiently.

Use a gentle cleanser during the day and switch to double cleansing at night. You can utilize face oil or coconut oil to remove the cosmetic.

Follow up with a mild face wash. This step will clean up your face thoroughly.

There will be no traces of any dirt or cosmetics.

 Cleansing opens up the pores.

Toner

Toners are of a watery consistency. It gets easily absorbed by the skin and instantly revives it.

The very first thing you should apply after cleansing your skin is Toner. Use a specific toner suitable for your skin.

Take some toner in your hands and gently press it all over your skin and let it sit.

Toner tightens the pores and balances the oils of the skin.

Spot Treatment

You should ideally apply a spot treatment at night for best results.

At night our skin works super hard to revive itself and boost self-regeneration.

If you have a sudden breakout, then this is how you should spot and treat it. Apply ointment immediately after using a toner. It will get absorbed into the skin and start working its magic.

Serum

Serums are essentially just shorts of concentrated nutrients, hydrates, and antioxidants. They penetrate deep into the skin.

You can pick two to three serums to help you target specific skin care issues like – wrinkles, dry skin, etc.

The formula contains bio-active ingredients, made in smaller molecules. It is absorbed by the skin quickly and is light in weight.

Vitamin C Serum

Can be used day and night. These serums are the most common ones that work on pigmentation and hydration of the skin.

People often neglect serums and skip adding them to their everyday routines. They are heavy lifters amongst all the skin care products.

Eye Cream

The skin around our eye is very delicate and often the first one to reflect the science of aging.

Eye creams help target some of these concerns such as dark circles, and puffiness.

Eye creams are thinner and lighter than our face creams and should be applied before going in with our moisturizer. This will help the better absorption of the product.

They depuff and give your eyes that extra boost of hydration making you look fresh and well-rested overnight.

Moisturizer

Everyone needs a moisturizer no matter what their skin type is. Your moisturizer not only does the job of hydrating your skin but also helps strapon all the products underneath it. It makes sure that the ingredients underneath are more effective.

Make sure you leave the areas where you have used spot treatment so that both products’ ingredients don’t interfere with each other.

Use separate day and night creams for better results.

Lip Balm

Apply lip balm to the thin skin of your lips. Your lips need constant hydration too.

If you are done with these steps you are done with your night skin care regimen.

Sun protection during the day

For the day you are left with some sunscreens to apply. Remember this is the most crucial step to protect your skin from harmful UV rays and act as a protective barrier against dust and pollution.

Wait for a full five minutes before you apply your sunscreens.

Some myths linked to skin care

Never use Lemon Juice, Garlic, Toothpaste, or Baking Soda in your skin care routine as an ingredient of homemade remedies.

Lemon Juice – Lemon is acidic. It may irritate your skin. Black spots may occur after sun exposure.

Baking Soda – Diminishes the water from your skin.

Garlic – Using raw garlic may lead to allergies, eczemas, and blisters.

Toothpaste – May dry your skin
